performs at Tim McGraw "One Of These Nights" Party on October 31, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee.Have you ever wondered what happens backstage before a Tim McGraw concert?  Well Tim would like to show you…through the power of video.  He spoke with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton about something he calls The Shower Sessions:

“We’re actually doin’ these things on the road now that we decided we’d call Shower Sessions, which is, then we started thinking about it, you know the band & I in the dressing room, doing songs called the Shower Sessions, I don’t know about that, but it’s fun, we’ve only done one that’s sort of in the shower because the acoustics are so good.  But we do some cool cover songs, some of our favorite songs, we’ll do ’em on the dressing room, sometimes we’ll do them on the bus, like we did Life in the Fast Lane, we were on Long Island and we did Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen.  So we started doing these things and we’re puttin’ em out there for everyone to see.”

So where can you see Tim’s Shower Sessions?  Here’s a link to his Facebook page.  You’ll find videos of Tim & his band singing Garth Brooks’ “Much To Young (To Feel This Damned Old)” and many more.

Listen to Tim describe the Shower Sessions here:

If you saw the IHeartCountry Awards a couple months ago, Tim sang “Diamond Rings & Old Barstools” with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild.  He told Lon that performance began backstage in the dressing room:

“You know I’d ask her to do that the day before.  I got there at 8 at night, her manager flew with me, because he’s also Faith’s manager, so he caught a ride with me.  Go in the dressing room, I’m there five minutes, Karen comes in there with me, and we rehearsed the song twice, and then went on stage and did it, and it turned out perfectly.  She’s a pro.  Some of the best acoustics are in dressing rooms.  Always sound much better in the dressing room than when I go out front.  I sing great in the show, then I go out, and it’s like eh, it sounded better in the shower.”
