Brett Eldredge Is House Hunting

Back in November, Brett Eldredge was named CMA New Artist of the Year.  He told Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton he’s still looking for a place to display his trophy: “I just got my CMA Award.  Right now, it’s still in its box.  I’m house-hunting right now.  I’m waiting to find that perfect spot.  Maybe a cool fireplace or something.  Or just let my mom have it for now, keep in a safe place, because I’m on the road all the time.  But it’s just chillin’ in the box right now.”

So tell me about the house-hunting.  What are you looking for?  “That’s hard to know.  I’m having trouble.  This is my first big step as a grown-up, trying to find that perfect house.  I sometimes think maybe I’ll go in the country, live on the water, because I love to fish.  But I don’t even know.  I’m just looking all the time, and hopefully I’ll run into something.”

What does it have to have? “I like balconies.  I love to grill out with friends, maybe have a few drinks after I get home from the road, just relax, have cookouts, just sit out and hang out with my friends and family, enjoy a nice day.  So I’m looking for a nice big deck.  Maybe get a horse, as long as I don’t have to take care of it.”
