Trisha Reveals Secret To Garth

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood are on the road right now, performing at sold out shows around the country.  At the end of Garth’s set, Trisha joins him for the Grammy-winning hit “In Another’s Eyes.”  The two spoke about that moment with Country Countdown USA’s Lon Helton:

(Trisha) “There’s an energy.  Even though Garth & I have known each other for 25 years, and I’ve opened for him in 1991 and 1998, we had never been on stage together like that.  So for me, it’s exciting because it’s not something we’ve really done.  And when I walk up those steps and start to sing my verse, it turns electric.  I don’t have to make that up.  This will sound corny, but I’m in love with this guy. So I walk up to the top of the steps, and I’m hoping, is he looking at me? I don’t even get dressed before he goes out on stage, because I want him to say, ‘She’s looking pretty tonight.’  It’s a romance story.  He doesn’t know what I’m going to wear, so when I walk to the top of the steps, I’m hoping he thinks I look really cute tonight.”

(Garth) Wow!  We’re telling it all, aren’t we?

(Trisha) I know, I shouldn’t have told you that. I just gave away a secret you didn’t need to know!

By the way, it was just announced that the Garth Brooks World Tour has hit a million tickets sold since the tour began in September.
