It sounds so surreal, and you talked to Mick on the phone? “I was waiting, cause Mick’s gonna call me, and we’re gonna talk about stuff.”

How did you decide on the song, “It’s Only Rock & Roll?” I had a few, I listened to their entire catalogue, just trying to think about what can be in both our keys, and there are certain songs of theirs I’d be mad if someone else sang.  So it all worked out.”

What’s the atmosphere like backstage?  “Super laid back.  They’ve been doing it so long, they just have their ways, everybody’s just hanging out.  I got to talk with the other guys during rehearsal.  They were all super nice and made sure we were all taken care of.

Can you imagine it’s their 50th anniversary tour? “I’m on my 7th anniversary tour, so I can’t imagine 50.”
