Jake Owen Explains His New Hat

Jake Owen came into our studio wearing a pretty large hat.  So Country Countdown USA host Lon Helton felt compelled to ask about it: “There’s this really cool place in LA called Scheaffer’s Garment Hotel, and it’s a guy and his cousin.  One guy makes jeans, these jeans I’m wearing, and my hat comes from the same store.  He made me this Southern Rock Florida Boy Crackerman hat.  I didn’t want a cowboy hat, because I come from Florida, and while a lot of my friends grew up wearing cowboy hats, I didn’t wear a cowboy hat.  But I liked hats, and I’d say this was a cross between Crocodile Dundee meets Indiana Jones meets Gary Stewart meets Lynyrd Skynyrd.  It’s got the “J-O” carved in the back of it, and the inside says “Florida Crackerman.”  So It’s my Florida Crackerman hat.”
